PLANES DE LA BARONIA Planes de la Baronía, noble village founded in 1425 with three municipal districts: Benialfaquí, Catamarruch y Margarida and located between el Comtat county and Gallinera Valley (La Vall de Gallinera).

Its mountainous location among Serpis river, Almudaina and Albureca Hills explains the deep gullies around the village and its steep streets, stairs and fresh water fountains. Among a mainly agricultural landscape with cherry, olive and almond trees the visitor can find el "Barranc de L'Encantá" (L’Encantà Gully), with a leisure center with bathing and fishing areas, and el "Barranc del Sofre" (Sofre Gully). The village’s fiesta in honor of Our Lady of Rosary, S.t Roque and the Holy Christ of Planes is held in the first week of October. The festival of “La Plantà del Xop” ( the Planting of the the Black Poplar) at Pentecost and “La festa de la Farina” at Carnival are also worth to remark .
